Step 1: Access the software and documentation

Step 2: Schedule the installation

Installation of Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager requires supervisor rights and privileges. you put in the product on a Microsoft Windows administrative workstation. you want to ensure that IBM Maximo Asset Management 7.6.0.6 is installed on the identical administrative workstation where you plan to install Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager 7.6.1 and within the same language as Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager 7.6. 1..

Limitations: If Maximo for Oil and Gas 7.6.1 is installed on version 7.6.1, you’ve got all the functionality of Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager. Therefore, don’t install Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager within the same environment as Maximo for Oil and Gas, because the versions are not compatible.

Step 3: Install the merchandise

Product installation: Read the software requirements. Install Maximo Health, Safety and Environment Manager. Update the Maximo database. this is often required if you selected the Defer Maximo Database Update option during installation. Build the enterprise application archive (EAR) files. this is often required if you selected either Defer Maximo Redeployment or Defer Maximo Database Update during installation. For IBM WebSphere® Application Server environments: EAR files are install during Maximo Asset Management installation. If this task was deferred during Maximo Asset Management installation (by selecting either Defer Maximo Redeployment or Defer Maximo Database Update), deploy the EAR files.

For Oracle WebLogic Server environments only: you want to deploy Enterprise Application Archive (EAR) files. If IBM Maximo Spatial Asset Management is installed and licensed, add spatial features to Safety and Environment Manager records. you’ll also grant access to spatial options.
